In a review of 25 years of electric drive and prototype development, the enormous development of battery electric drive concepts will be shown using selected automotive icons as examples. The current state of development will be highlighted with a focus on the new and extremely innovative Direct eDrive drive. This transmission- and differential-free drive offers great potential in terms of efficiency and performance. The technology will be demonstrated and explained in detail using the specific project vehicle "e01“.
